I agree. Being extremely honest without being too rude is a skill (as an autistic, I have to consciously focus on this tbh). But also it is not always about the giver. We know that people can get offended easily these days (especially if they've never been told the harsh truths) so if blunt honesty offends someone, maybe that's on them to be able to handle criticism well and learn from it rather than dwell and be upset by it.
